"Time Check" Activity Freebie

I know I haven't been very constant with my posts lately, but things have been very crazy. I'm trying to get better at finding time to sit down when I get home to post some of the things I've been doing. I am constantly taking pictures in class to share ideas, but have a hard time actually getting them posted on here! I will try to be more vigilant about it.

These next couple weeks we are focusing on telling time. A teammate of mine had the idea of doing a "time check" once in a while during the day for the students to look at our classroom clock and read the time. I thought it would be cool to do it about 4 times throughout the day and have them record it. Then at the end of the day the students who were able to get the times correctly could receive a sticker or a penny (from the class economy management system I am using currently).  So I created a little recording sheet that the students could have taped to their desk to record on each time I announced that it was a "time check". Of course this first week I will only announce a "time check" when the clock is exactly on an hour. Next week I might include on the hour and half hour times as well. Here is a copy of the quarter sized recording sheets if you'd like to try this. I obviously haven't tried it yet and hope it works well. The pics are linked to the documents. :) Also, feel free to let me know any suggestions!
